The bail application by eight people charged with the abduction, torture, rape and murder of two women in Mooinooi, near Brits in the North West is on Tuesday expected to continue.
The accused, six men and two women were arrested for the murder of Joey and Anisha van Niekerk who went missing in December last year.
Cross examination of accused number six is expected to resume, with five others already having stood in the dock.
The bail application has been dragging with some of the accused claiming that they have been assaulted to turn state-witnesses.
During the appearance last week, accused number four, pointed out accused number 1 as the man who gave him the the couple’s bank card to withdraw cash days after the bodies were discovered.
As cross examination of the remaining two, including investigating officer on the case continue, the court is also expected to be furnished a DNA report of the remains that are suspected to be that of Joey and Anisha van Niekerk that went for testing.
