Reading Time: 2 minutes

Bafana Bafana have arrived in Polokwane for their must-win World Cup qualifier replay match against Senegal on Friday.

The South Africa – Senegal encounter which was played last year in November was declared null and void by FIFA, after the match referee, Joseph Lamptey was found guilty of match manipulation.

Bafana coach Stuart Baxter says they need more support from fans.

“I do to believe given the right support; given the right attitude to the players we really believe we can take the three points.  I think the players are very confident that we can take the three points, in life as in football you can never promise everything, we can promise to do our best.”

Bafana Bafana received a warm welcome at Polokwane Gateway airport. Limpopo MEC for Sports, Arts and Culture, Onicca Moloi and the Executive Mayor of Polokwane, Thembi Nkadimeng were among those who welcomed the team. Moloi has assured the team that the province will support them.

“ As the people of Limpopo we are assuring you our support all the way, we have no doubt that you drape here again, the Lions of Terenga history will repeat itself at the iconic Peter Mokaba stadium. You must go into this match with the same confidence when you thrashed Bukina Faso 3-1 at the FNB stadium last month.”
