The Azanian People’s Organisation (Azapo) will be holding its 24th National Congress at Daku Hall in Port Elizabeth from Saturday.

The two day congress will be held under the theme, ‘Land, Liberation and Dignity’, with a focus on topics such as femicide and HIV/AIDS.

Azapo will also use the congress to review the impact it had on championing the struggles of the people and its electoral performance.

Azapo President Strike Thokoane says, “Number one, we regroup – that’s the first thing we are going to be dealing with, because of what has happened in the past. We are just there to regroup and champion our way forward, just to make sure Azapo is still very relevant and on the path…”
