Reading Time: < 1 minute

The Australian cricket team has regained the Ashes. The Aussies beat England by an innings and 41 runs in the third test match at the WACA in Perth for an unassailable three-nil lead in the five-match series.

The visitors, who needed to score 259 or more to make Australia bat again, were bowled out for 218 in their second innings.

Fast bowler Josh Hazlewood took five for 48 in 18 overs. Former Paarl Boys High pupil and first innings centurion, Dawid Malan, scored 54 for England.

The next test is in Melbourne and starts at the MCG on Boxing Day.
