The taxi associated political party, Alliance for Transformation for All (ATA), took its election campaign to the Eastern Cape.

The party president, Ntsikelelo Gaila, addressed at least 3000 attendants at their provincial rally at Elliotdale on Thursday.

They say they are satisfied with how their message was received by people.

The party’s national spokesperson Zanemvula Zinja says they are ready to transform the lives of South Africans.

“What actually caught the attention of the voters in our manifesto is the high rate of unemployment. We are going to pay the subsidy of our taxi passengers by 50%, if the taxi pays R100 for instance, the passenger will pay 50%, the other 50% for by the government which will be led by Alliance for Transformation for All. We will be giving out to taxi owners the permanent permit. We will be improving the rural infrastructure,” says Zinja.
