China’s Ashun Wu snatched a one shot lead after the third round at the Dubai Desert Classic golf tournament.
Wu goes into the final day with a slew of golfers in hot pursuit.
Wu was off to a flyer in his round; holing an eagle at the first which set the tone for a well-played five under par 67.
He was only undone by a bogey at the 16, but had done enough to move into the lead on 11 under par 205 for the tournament.
France’s Victor Perez is a shot behind at ten under, he shrugged off consecutive bogies to hit seven birdies, with four in a row to sign for a five under 67 as well.
Defending champion, Bryson Dechambeau is two shots off the pace together with Tom Lewis of England and Kurt Kitayama of the USA.
Dechambeau shot a 2 under round of 70, with four bogies cancelling out a lot of his hard won gains.
Dean Burmester is the best placed South African, at 7 under par in a three way tie for seventh.
He’ll have his work cut out on Sunday, he shot level par in the third round.
