A local fundraising dinner in KwaDukuza, north of Durban with former Finance Minister, Pravin Gordhan as guest speaker has been disrupted by an angry crowd wearing ANC T-Shirts.
A video of the incident has gone viral on social media.
It is believed that the fundraiser was organised by a non-governmental organisation, The Stanger Concerned Citizens Group at the local Siva Sungum Hall.
In the video, a group of angry protestors can be seen banging a garage door and throwing bricks on the ground with some holding posters.
Gordhan has reportedly not granted any media interviews since the incident.
Police spokesperson Colonel Thulani Zwane says they are unaware of the incident.
