ANC to hold special NEC meeting after election victory

Reading Time: < 1 minute

The African National Congress (ANC) will hold a special National Executive Committee (NEC) meeting in Irene, Pretoria on Monday – the first such meeting since President Cyril Ramaphosa guided the party to a win in the general elections.

The comprehensive ANC elections campaign saw heavyweights like former presidents, Thabo Mbeki and Kgalema Motlanthe making public appearances.

Right on the heels of the ANC’s Siyabonga/Rea Leboha celebrations at the party’s head offices in Johannesburg, it’s now back to business.

The NEC meeting, among other issues, will discuss ANC deployments to the National Assembly and in government.

Meanwhile, President Cyril Ramaphosa has assured South Africans that the country will change for the better under the ANC government.
