The ANC’s support in Kwazulu-Natal dropped from 64.52% in 2014 to 54.22% in 2019. The ANC retains majority control of the provincial legislature in the province.
The IFP has overtaken the DA to become the official opposition in KZN, increasing its support from 10.86% in 2014 to 16.34% in 2019. The DA declined to 13.91% and the EFF scored 9.71% of the vote.
