The Democratic Alliance(DA) is calling for African National Congress(ANC) leaders to be summoned to testify before the Zondo Commission which is investigating state capture.
DA leader Mmusi Maimane says that ANC leaders should be held accountable. He was speaking in Mokopane, Limpopo during the party’s unveiling of the party’s preferred premier candidate.
Maimane says if we’re going to deal with the commission we must deal with the ANC.
He says: “All the people who are there are ANC people. Why is nobody being arrested because, the point at the end of the day is if we don’t arrest people who are involved, state capture is going to happen again.”
“It will be repeated over and over. We must not just call it state capture we must call it rank capture because it’s the ANC stealing money from our people, it’s stolen in municipalities and it’s stolen in the SOEs,” adds Maimane.
