Democratic Alliance(DA) leader Mmusi Maimane has expressed concern at the living conditions of the rural communities of Nkomazi in Mpumalanga.
He says it is disappointing that communities share drinking water with livestock 25 years into democracy.
Maimane engaged with residents of Driekoppies in Nkomazi east of Mbombela as part of the DA’s program to woo locals to vote for the party.
He accused the ANC led government of failing to bring development to rural communities.
“South Africans after 25 years are sharing water with animals. Human beings are using the water, it is injustice.”
“The human rights commission must investigate what is going on here. It is clear that the ANC has failed here. Under the leadership of David Mabuza they looted the entire province and as a result of of their corruption our people are hungry, they are without jobs,” says Maimane.

But if we are to make this plan a reality, we will need you to do your bit first.
You need to add your vote to the millions of others who are tired of the empty promises and the endless corruption of the ANC government, and who want change. – @MmusiMaimane pic.twitter.com/lh2Ey6NjF0
