The African National Congress (ANC) in the Eastern Cape has honoured a number of their struggle stalwarts in Port Elizabeth, in the Eastern Cape.

Wreaths were laid at the graves of the stalwarts including, Vuyisile Mini and Wilson Kayingo.

Family, friends and ANC members paid their respect to the freedom fighters that were executed in the Pretoria Gallows in 1964.

ANC Provincial Secretary Oscar Mabuyane says, “We are doing it this year to coincide with 100 years of OR Tambo of which it makes it to be special. We will be doing it even next year and it will also be coincidence with Nelson Mandela’s anniversary. So, we are a province of which is called home of legends because of them.”
