African National Congress (ANC) delegates at the party’s 53rdNational Conference in Mangaung are in high spirits.They sang songs and danced while they waited for the conference to start. Some sang about their preferred candidate to lead the party for the next five years.This week delegates will vote to elect the ANC’s top six leaders including the President and Deputy President.The start of the conference was delayed by at least two hours. The President of the ANC, Jacob Zuma, will delivered the party’s political report and after lunch Secretary General Gwede Mantashe will deliver the organisational report.Later, the delegates will discuss the credentials of all those attending and participating in the conference.SABC News captured the mood and ambiance of the delegates.
