ANC caucus keeping mum over meeting

Reading Time: < 1 minute

The African National Congress (ANC) caucus in Parliament is keeping mum about its meeting held Thursday.

The meeting had been expected to deal with President Jacob Zuma’s future as head of state as well as a new date for the State of the Nation address (SONA).

The SONA was to have been held on Thursday but was postponed.

However, the President has been continuing with business as usual, meeting cabinet committees over the past two days.

ANC secretary general Ace Magashule says the meeting was only meant to introduce the new ANC leadership to the party’s MPs.
