The ANC and the EFF have unleashed their party heavyweights to garner support in KwaZulu-Natal (KZN) ahead of the May 8th general elections.

ANC Secretary General – Ace Magashule- will address party members in Durban.

Magashule, accompanied by party provincial chairperson Sihle Zikalala, will address a mini rally at Moses Mabhida’s People’s park in Durban.

While EFF leader Julius Malema will later on Sunday speak to party supporters at Chatsworth. In the past, Malema has been accused of inciting racial tensions after his remarks regarding Indians.

He allegedly stated that “Indians are worse than Afrikaners”.

Campaigns for the two parties is gaining momentum as the elections draw closer in less than two months. Both parties have their fair share of problems in the province. The ANC is facing multitude of arrests which are linked to political killings in the province. While the recently elected EFF leadership in KZN is facing court cases as aggrieved members are challenging the outcome of the conference.
