Amazulu Football Club head coach Cavin Johnson has responded for the first time, since South African Football Association (SAFA) docked points from the KwaZulu Natal based outfit.

The Premier Soccer League confirmed that they had received a communiqué from SAFA, instructing them to dock six points from uSuthu, after they were found to have unlawfully terminated the Namibian player Phineas Nambandi’s contract.

The League implied that Amazulu failed to comply with SAFA’s instructions, which resulted in them being docked points. This has left the club at the bottom of the league log, with two points, after seven games played this season.

Nambandi signed a three year deal with the club in 2013 from Tigers FC, and spent a season of his three year contract and was later released by the club.

Meanwhile, Johnson says Siyabonga Nomvethe is still part of his plans, until he officially hangs up his boots in December, when his contract comes to an end.

Nomvethe has seen little game time, after announcing his retirement some few weeks ago and Johnson says Nomvethe has to wait for his turn, since the boys are still doing well.
