All systems go for SADMA Music Concert

Reading Time: < 1 minute

The Southern African Disabled Musicians Association (SADMA) will be hosting a Disabled Musicians Association’s Music Concert for their disabled musicians on Saturday in the North West Province.

The concert aims to introduce the artists who we have recorded to be recognised and invited to perform at nationwide mainstream concerts and festivals. The concert will coincide with disability month.

SADMA also serves as a vehicle for providing education and training in the complex issues of copyright, royalties, publishing and recording contracts.

SADMA chairperson John Mothopeng says that this concert is meant to entertain people with disabilities.

“People with disabilities would like to attend all concerts, even mainstream concerts, but cannot due to constraints such as accessibility to the building and lack of escorts.”
