The family of late actor, Sibusiso Khwinana, has reacted with shock to his death.
The Matwetwe actor was fatally wounded on Friday night in Arcadia, Pretoria. Khwinana, who plays the role of shy Lefa was believed to have been attending a screening of the movie at a cinema in Sterland Mall when he was attacked by a suspect who demanded his cellphone.
He was allegedly stabbed with a sharp object on the upper body and died on the scene.
Police have not made any arrests and cases of robbery and murder are being investigated.
Speaking to SABC News, Sibusiso’s sister, Jay, says the police called them on Friday night at 11:30 pm and told them to come to the Hatfield police station as something had happened.
She says when they arrived at the police station, they were told that Sibusiso has been killed.
Jay adds that their parents are not taking his death well.
