A 14-year old girl has been chosen as the Junior Station Commander of the Thembalethu Police Station in George.
Asenathi Ngodo from Thembalethu High School was nominated to the position during a regional debate competition, between schools from George, Plettenberg Bay, Knysna, Calitzdorp and other nearby towns.
They discussed crimes such as bullying, gangsterism and illegal drugs.
Thembalethu Police spokesperson, Dumile Gwavu says “She will visit Thembalethu Station Commander to see how his work is done, so that she can see how she will be able to help in fighting crime involving the youth.”
