The Springbok Sevens team will have the services of key player Renfred Dazel in London this weekend. Dazel came close to missing the last two tournaments on the IRB Sevens World Series Circuit because of passport problems. But he finally received his travel documents yesterday and is expected to join the squad no later than tomorrow morning.
The Springboks had almost accepted the fact that they would have to go into the final two tournaments without one of the best players on the circuit. Dazel has been key to South Africa's success this year. He played a leading role in putting the Boks in the position to win this year's IRB World Sevens Series title, which they can do in London. Paul Delport will make way for Dazel. The Springboks had their first practice match yesterday against Canada.
The Boks who are leading the log by 28 points are one of the few teams at the Emirates Sevens in London with a consistent team line-up through the first six events.
