Malema rejects call for Mbeki’s prosecution November 23 2009 , 6:31:00

ANC Youth League President, Julius Malema has again rejected a call for former president Thabo Mbeki to be charged with genocide over his HIV/Aids policies. Malema was speaking at the funeral of Free State government spokesperson, Teboho Sikisi in Bloemfontein.

Malema says charging Mbeki and his Cabinet would eventually lead to President Jacob Zuma facing similar charges. He says Mbeki was given the power and a mandate by the ANC to make such decisions, therefore he should be defended.

Deputy Health Minister, Molefi Sefularo and Free State Premier Ace Magashule were also among the dignitaries attending the funeral service. The driver of the car in which Sikisi died was buried on Saturday.

Meanwhile, Malema has again re-iterated the league's call for the nationalisation of mines.

Ok we get it is fashionable to hateMbeki but charging him with genocide is mischievous to say the least

It`s unwise and selfish to charge Mr. Mbeki for what happened to policies. i`m very convinced that he was not alone when implementing it, and some had all rights to object with reasons of cause. who ever raise the concern now, is disturbed and out of line. if he or she need something to do, he must climb the highest mountain and roll himself down.we say, we live for today, dream for tomorow and learn from yesterday.
