Bafana changes official training venue again March 11 2010 , 4:11:00

Bafana Bafana will use Sturrock Park, at Wits University, as their official training venue during the World Cup in June. The South African Football Association has decided not to use Sandown High School, as announced last month, because terms of the deal with the school's governing body could not be reached.

South Africa is the last of the 32 teams taking part in the World Cup to finalise their training arrangements. Bafana Bafana players left for the Brazil camp on Tuesday without their team manager Sipho Nkumane. Nkumane was left behind after failing to submit a plan for the local Bafana Bafana camp in South Africa in May.

This was the second group to leave for a month long camp in South America. The first group left on Monday, following the departure of coach Carlos Parreira and his technical staff on Sunday. Bafana Bafana will play a series of friendlies against Brazilian teams Botofago and Fluminense during their visit.

SA Football Association president Kirsten Nematendani says they are doing everything possible to support Bafana Bafana's technical team, ahead of the World Cup. He says they pulled all the stops to get arguably the best coach in the world to prepare the team for the world's biggest tournament.
