Agliotti to be grilled on another video recording October 21 2009 , 6:20:00
Glen Agliotti

Convicted drug dealer, Glen Agliotti will face defence cross examination about another video recording today, in the Jackie Selebi corruption trial in the South Gauteng High Court in Johannesburg. The recording was played in court yesterday.

It features a discussion between Agliotti and then Crime Intelligence Head, Mulangi Mphego that relates to rumours in August 2003 that the late Brett Kebble paid Selebi a bribe.

The court is no stranger to covert recordings made of discussions between Agliotti and Crime Intelligence bosses. The latest recorded discussion already featured in Agliotti's earlier evidence in court.

In this video Agliotti meets with Mphego to discuss rumours of a bribe to Selebi. Agliotti can be heard dismissing the rumours. He speaks about how he used Selebi's name to secure a million dollar consultancy fee from the Kebble. This, says Agliotti, was without the police chiefs knowledge.
