Govt to launch intensified, renewed HIV/Aids campaign: minister November 06 2009 , 3:19:00

Health Minister Aaron Motsoaledi says government will on World AIDS Day (December 1) launch an intensified and renewed campaign to fight HIV/Aids in the country. He was addressing hundreds of delegates attending the Positive Convention in Midrand, Johannesburg. Motsoaledi says the details of the campaign will be made public closer to the day.

He says an intensified campaign is the only solution to the HIV/Aids problem in South Africa. “We want it to be a memorable day, a day in which SA will mark as a day it started honestly to fight the HIV/AIDS virus. We are going to do that on the first of December. For the first time, that day is going to be led by the president of this country,” says Motsoaledi.
