The wife of former Intelligence Minister, Ronnie Kasrils; Eleanor Kasrils will be cremated at a private ceremony attended by close family on Saturday morning. Eleanor (73) died of a stroke at a Cape Town hospital last weekend.
She spent many years with her husband in exile where she worked with the late ANC president, Oliver Tambo. Kasrils says friends and comrades will also pay their last respects to his wife later in the day.
Ronnie Kasrils said: “We are going to celebrate Eleanor's wonderful life on Saturday at a very fitting environmental setting in the beautiful Cape. With many of our close friends, comrades, supporters and contingents from the movement, the ANC, Cosatu and the Communist Party and Umkhonto Wesizwe to which she belonged”.
