The ANC Youth League (ANCYL) says it will take legal action against its members who benefited from the late Brett Kebble's estate if there is proof that their actions have brought the organisation into disrepute.
League spokesperson Zizi Kodwa said he would not go into detail before the members involved are able to give their side of the story in court.
Kodwa's comments follow reports that trustees of the estate of slain mining magnate Brett Kebble want more than R25 million from prominent ANC beneficiary members. Kodwa says those who benefitted had done so as business members and not as members of the organisation.
However, Kodwa he will be watching the court case with interest. "If there are matters that would put the organisation into disrepute, which will undermine the very integrity of the organisation, (we) will no doubt act accordingly," said Kodwa.
