The Pan Africanist Congress (PAC) president, Letlapa Mphahlele, says days of keeping the party exclusively black are over.
He was speaking during the party's 49th anniversary celebrations in Siyabuswa, Mpumalanga.
Mphahlele says for the party to grow and be attractive to the broader society, it needs to reflect the demographics of the country in terms of membership.
“We still have a long way to go because as PAC, I think our membership support base is not as broad as we would like it to be.
"We are not as appealing to all sections of the population as we would like to be because PAC membership and leadership must thoroughly mirror the demographics in this country... "
