The contest for ANC Youth League (ANCYL) leadership has begun, with provinces nominating their preferred candidates. This comes ahead of the league’s national conference to be held in Mangaung in the Free State in April.
At a media briefing in Polokwane today, Limpopo Provincial Secretary, Julius Malema, emerged as the likely candidate to succeed sitting president, Fikile Mbalula.
Malema has been a member of the National Executive Committee of the ANCYL for the past five years and he is a former National President of the Congress of SA Students.
