Sadtu has distanced itself from Madisha's comments, saying it supports Zuma for the ANC Presidency
|
December 04, 2007, 20:15
The South African Democratic Teachers’ Union (Sadtu) President, Willie Madisha, claims some news media have misinterpreted comments he made regarding ANC Deputy President Jacob Zuma.
It has been reported that Madisha launched a scathing attack on Zuma during his address to Sadtu members during the 16 Days of Activism against Women and Child abuse campaign at Mokopane.
Madisha had reportedly urged members not to vote for immoral leaders.
Meanwhile, Sadtu has distanced itself from the comments attributed to Madisha. Sadtu Deputy General Secretary, Don Pasquallie, say they are still supporting Zuma for the ANC Presidency.
