The  Squirming Truth About Unhygenic Butcheries.

Maggots, worms, worm eggs and rotten meat.  Butcheries caught short on hygiene.  This Sunday, April 23^rd FOKUS (SABC-2 at 18:30) broadcasts a story on shoddy service delivery at some butcheries and meat departments of well known chain-stores. 

Health inspectors say there’s simply not enough manpower to check on all the butcheries all the time.  They rely on the public to be their eyes and ears. Exactly how big a responsibility this is, is revealed by a technician who specialises in butchery equipment.  A spy camera was smuggled into six butcheries where images of rotten meat, worms and maggots were caught on camera.
