" Tigers Don't Cry" - Viewers' Comments

Police management tend to forget that Reservists also do the same work as other members, but because we are "weekend warriors" we tend to be forgotten.

Thank you for at last showing us as humans it was long over due! saps member.

All corporate companies have the same attitude as the police service. It seems 2 b a general trend in SA that the people on the ground suffer

here needs to be more understanding about the stress police personnel under go support is needed and it is needed now

My husband also suffers from post traumatic stress syndrome and is on stress leave but his commander constantly harrass him at home

I was also a policeman and know what they go thru i went thru it myself to the point where i just bought myself out before i totally lost control.

Even myself Im stressed Ive been thru a divorce & on top of that I didnt get my salary increase last year TIL 2DAY & I work so enthusiastically

beaufort west has no proper support. one hung himself recently. most drink too much and others to sick to work. better support needed in all aspects.

my wife was diagnosed with post-traumatic stress disorder over four years ago and nothing was done about it and when she approched managment about it they threathend to charge her for neglect of duty.! How is that for these saps officials who really dont care!

Im a constable in pta. 2 years ago i opened a s/harasment case against a colleague. My commander simply told me that he doesnt believe me and i was forced to remain working with the colleague. Not even a social worker came to my aid and top management only intervened after member was arrested because my commander didnt see the necesity to report the case to them.

OUR POLICE R NOT SUFFICIENTLY RECOGNISED & REWARDED FOR THE SERVICES THEY CARRY OUT.

pres mbeki and com selebi must be interviewed about this problem pts. this country cannot function without the proper treatment of saps.

The bosses only think about themselves and their pay. Most doesnt even know what is going on outside their offices but want to tell members working outside how to do their work.

S.A. Police management is busy with window dressing concerning stress related problems in statements made to the media and public!

No use training station commissioners to check 4 signs when most of them are the root of the problem because they do not have any managerial skills

I have received zero support from saps. I have PTSD but was suspended! Felt like killing all responsible to hell with them!

Affirmative action is being used as a jobs 4 friends tool in SAPS. How can a person with 12 yr service b a Director? Only joined in 94. When disadvantaged?

It is beyond my comprehension how the "powers that be" think the problem of traumatised cops is going 2 disappear if they force them 2 continue working. Obviously the shirkers must be routed out but why bother 2 send them 2 psychiatrists if they dont listen 2 them? The SAP psychiatrist says they knew what they were getting into when joining, HA! - NOBODY can be prepared 4 what they face daily. I am deeply disturbed by their attitude.
