" Bleeding on the Inside" - Viewers' Comments

I agree piracy shuld stop as it is crime. Seems like its lower income pple who buy it. Why cant the originals b sold at a reasonable price? Jus a thought.

if the movie and music industry dies you have long dark nights to look forward to. this is the message u out to put out on posters and fliers. good luck!

Part of the piracy solution lies with the distributors. If they reduce their profit margins, this means lower prices to the consumer

IF YOU WANT TO STOP PIRACY IN OUR COUNTRY, WHY DONT THEY STOP SELLING REWRITABLE CDS AND DVDS, THATS THE ONLY WAY ITS GOING TO STOP, IS BY TAKING THOSE SUPPLIES OFF THE MARKET

Die koste van oorspronklike dvd en musiek is te hoog. verlaag die koste en dan kan die gewone mense dit ook bekostig. Dis tog net die middelman wat geld maak.

Get original copies of movies out sooner, and at lower affordable prices. Then we, the public will b encouraged 2 buy the originals.

Everything in SOUTH AFRICA is expensive

i just want to say its a very good move, but dont concentrate on gauteng only cause its happening all over the country.

make the movies cheper and make the mark up smaller

consumers should be prosecuted ppl buyin those dvds, cds r just as guilty as the ppl that copy them illegally

people who buy pirated dvds or cds should receive fines, eg, R200 per disk. Distributors should receive larger fines. Manufacturers get jailed.

Please attend to piracy problem at the William Nicoll offramp. Arrogant hawkers openly sell fake DVDs with Metro Police metrer away issueing fines?

I dont buy pirated DVDs and think people who do r morally corrupt. If its easy for me to say no, why do others find it so easy to say yes?

THESE HAWKERS ARE TRYING TO FEED FAMILIES. THE MOVIE/MUSIC INDUSTRY MUST PROVID JOBS OR THESE HAWKERS MAY TURN TO VIOLENT CRIMES. WHICH IS THE LESSER EVIL??

I DONT SUPPORT THESE DVD HAWKERS, BUT I SYMPATHISE WITH THESE UNEMPLOYED PEOPLE. WHAT IS THE SOLUTION? NOT WHAT Mr SHUSTER SUGESTED

There seems to be a bigger issue. What drives people to sell or buy these dvds? Poor economic climate for the majority. The alternative for many of the sellers is violent or serious crime, people must eat. this will not go away while unemployment is so high. The long term solution is to eradicate unemployment, government must do more!

Consumers would much rather buy the origanal product for a decent price than pay R50-00 for a pirate product. Isnt half an egg better than an empty shell? The lifestyles of artists and producers has been shamefully ridiculous for a very long time.

Suggest hawker is left alone-making money best he can & used, poor bugger. TARGET THE BUYER and keep ear 2 ground WHO OFFERS 2 make a tape via a friend of a friend.

maybe the question that should be asked is why are movies allowed to be viewed by the media before it is released this could be where the source of the Dvds comes from !

cinema managers must make sure that no one enters the cinema with a video camera including staff members. Thats exactly how we can grow the movie business. Again strict measures to be followed when movie makers loan the copy for awards ceremonys cause it can be copied

I think the best way to stop piracy is to discontinue the manufacture of cd/dvd rewriters , cd/dvd-rs + cd/dvd-rw & software.
