SMS MATRIC and your ID number to 35470

SABC News - in association with Vodacom, Marketel, the department of education and the State information technology agency  - will publish matric results on Newsbreak 082 152, option 6, this year. Students have 3 ways to get their results:

1. SMS the word MATRIC followed by your ID number, to 35470 and receive detailed results on the day of release (via SMS);

2. Call 082 152, select option 6, and register by following the instructions (to receive results via SMS);

3. Call 082 152 on results day, select option 6 and listen to the results.

Students must have both their ID number and exam number at hand.

We provide callers with detailed and overall results, on each subject written and the overall results. Last year the service was used by hundreds of thousands of callers, as it is fast and convenient.

To listen to your results on the day of release: (without pre-registering)
 

§         Dial 082 152. Select the academic results option by pressing 6 (you may press 6 anytime during the introduction to jump directly to the matric results option).

§         When prompted, enter your ID number and exam number (these numbers will be read back to you to ensure that you’ve entered them correctly).

§         Your results will then be read to you, giving the subject and the symbol achieved.
 

This service saves you time and money, especially if you or your family are away from home. If you have a cellphone signal you will be able to access results, even in the United States (by dialing +27 82 152) or the United Kingdom by dialing the special line +27 82 234 2900.

You can also use a landline to listen to results by following the instructions after selecting option 6 and using the hash (#) key to select further options and key in your details.
