SA Fashion Week hits the runway

The Sanlam SA Fashion (SSAFW) Week kicks off today with a showcase of local designs from top and up and coming designers in the country. The new face of fashion week is Taryn du plooy. She replaces Nonhlahla "Noni" Gasa.

The event which is celebrating it's 10th anniversary this year, attracts buyers and agents from around the world and allows local designers, labels and brands to showcase themselves to an international market.

Fashion week will showcase the creative spectrum of the country's top and young designers as well as a three-day fashion seminar and an exhibition on selected designer items will be on sale.

Meanwhile the SSAFW Regional Collections will be in Cape Town on August 2-3; Pretoria on August 10-11 and Durban on August 16-17. The regional collections will feature designers from the respective cities as well as the exclusive collections from the Fashion Week.
