Details of this year's much anticipated, annual 46664 Nelson Mandela benefit concert have been announced.
This year's concert will take place in Hyde Park, London, on the 27th of June, honouring the former president's 90th birthday a few weeks later. Madiba will be honoured by his favourite celebrity's and personalities, including an audience of exactly 46 664.
Former US president Bill Clinton, British Prime Minister Gordon Brown, Ophra Winfrey, Robert De Niro and Will Smith are amongst the special guests. On the bill to perform are some of 46664's regular artists, Annie Lennox, 80's super group Simple Minds, Leona Lewis, Queen and Paul Rodgers, Eddy Grant and Jamelia. South African muscians on the bill, include Johnny Clegg, Sipho Mabuse, Loyiso and the Soweto Gospel Choir.
