Tshwane to issue ultimatum to striking workers

May 08, 2008, 09:45

The City of Tshwane says it will issue an ultimatum today for all striking workers to return to work. A meeting between the South African Municipal Workers' Union and the Tshwane Metro Council deadlocked late last night.

Meanwhile, all municipal buses are said to have returned to the city depot after a bus was stoned in Hatfield this morning.

Spokesperson for the City of Tshwane, Console Tleane, says one of the buses was stoned this morning - but fortunately no one was injured.
