Topic: Is the SABC dealing with the electricity crisis as they should?

At a time when South Africans are looking for alternative energy sources the SABC flights a hopeless article on the "merits" of solar and wind generated power. They waffled on about the windy city but didn't give any substance on how alternative energy systems can be employed. So what, wind power is now slightly more effective that it used to be and a bit better that solar power and eskom is not equipped nor is legislation in place to allow feeding power back into the grid. Why not try to report on the windy city being a potential source of a wind farm to generate xxhundreds of kilowatts of power in the future based on these studies by Professor E Lec Tricity. Or the solar power that can be generated by using these systems can reduce our dependancy on eskom allowing industry to function at full capacity fewer job losses, unemployment etc.Talk about South Africa's high number of sunlight hours compared to other successful solar systems ... shortened (ed) - Mike and Des Capon
