Zimbabweans Remain Calm
Tholakele Moyo - Saturday 12 April 2008

It is amazing to note the patience with which Zimbabweans right across the country have shunned violence even while the enemy provokes. There is relevant calm and tranquility as the nation still awaits the release of the election results(Presidential). So calm are the people of Zim that they are even joking about the results being readily available on the black market. The only person who seems unsettled is Tsvangison, he is running all over the region like a chicken without a head. His attitude is what is leading to the delay in the release of the results. First he ran to the courts effectively slowing down ZEC as they now await the court ruling. Furthermore, the votes cannot be counted in his absence since the law states that all presidential candidates must be present at the counting. To Tsvangirayi I say, please come back home so that we may conclude the matter peacefully. And stop lying to the rest of the world about a non-existant military and heavy police interference. We all know that these are the same lies your supporters use when seeking political assylum in the diaspora. Wake up to the damage you have single-handedly caused the people you claim to want to serve. If its at all possible with you please start behaving like a presidential candidate. Take a lesson from Simba Makoni.
