| As long as we have racially exclusive organizations, it confirms to me that the ideal of a non racist, non sexist society is a pipe dream and an unattainable pie in the sky.
People have to get over themselves and see the commonalities we have.
In fact the question must be asked - how many generations will it take to pay for the injustices of past.
By being racially exclusive we are only hurting ourselves and stunting our growth as a nation.
If we are all South African, we must desist from racial exclusivity. Furthermore, by continuing to talk about black and white, the rest of the races that make up this nation are being excluded.
Please don't misunderstand me - I'm not denying or writing off our past, but unless we learn from it and use the opportunities of the present - the future continues to cloudy.
Journalists have always been in the forefront of nation building, but if they are racially divided, they hold back the advancement of a nation. They are the ones that continuously write and broadcast the history of a nation |
