The media is doing what it has always done under apartheid...speak for white priviledge while working diligently to undermine Africa's nascent freedom.I never fail to be amazed at how after 500 years of brutal, savage and hateful oppression of the African people, the beneficiaries of this vile history continue to mock their victims. It is unbelievable that these psychopaths are now trying to blame their victims instead of atoning for their evil deeds. That is why I believe that our forgiveness and reconciliation efforts under the TRC were mortally flawed. If so many can get away with such heinous crimes against humanity, what moral right do we have to decry the overwhelming violent crime spree enveloping our beloved land. The legacy of apartheid is brutality and violence. I do not see any active national measures to heal the raw physical, psychological and spiritual wounds suffered by the masses of our people. Nice and elegant speeches about the purported "Rainbow Nation" in all sorts of international fora will not end the lasting and endemic racism of the apartheid era. This is evidenced by the recent disgusting UFS episode. The idiom will always be true that there will never be peace without justice. Casalis Matima, New York, USA
