| Education and skills acquired by individuals make them marketable and mobile. Instead of restricting any technical or professional persons from seeking employment to best advantage let's get out of the parochial and archaic thinking of believing that we are educating and training for our family, village, community and country only. Let's be innovative and address the constraints to education and skills transfer in the SADC Region and within the continent - whatever happened to the Pan Africanist thinking that inspired decolonisation. The liberation agenda addressed the politics in phase1, now its time to go into phase 2 without fear or apology. That should be the message to one and all our leaders - Africa has all the material resources necessary to place it at the top of the developing nations. What we need are selfless, service oriented and committed leaders. We await the new Africa most anxiously !!! |
