Rigging of the vote cannot be ruled out says the SACC

March 29, 2008, 08:45

Long queues have started forming at voting stations across Zimbabwe. The polling stations opened at 7am in the presidential, parliamentary, senatorial and local government elections.

The state of Zimbabwe's economy has emerged as the key issue of concern among early voters in Harare.

Meanwhile, Beit Bridge border post officials say the traffic between South Africa and Zimbabwe is normal. They say thousands of Zimbabweans crossed the border into their country during the Easter holidays.

Those who are going towards the Zimbabwean side say they going to vote while others say are going for personal business. Journalists are still gathered on the South African side of the border.
