Today Zimbabweans will vote in Zimbabwe’s presidential, parliamentary, local governments and house of assembly elections.
At least 5.9 million people are expected to cast their ballot today in Harare where about 784 590 voters have registered. Some people have begun queuing from as early as 3am at the polls.
SABCNEWS.COM spoke to voters at a polling booth at the Courtney Selous Primary School in the up market suburb of Greendale in Harare. Some voters say they are just excited to exercise their vote for a change in the country.
Meanwhile, a group of young first time voters occupied themselves playing scrabble while waiting in the long queue. They told SABCNEWS.COM that they were glad that they finally had a chance to vote for a leader of their choice. They are confident that they can make a difference by casting their ballot.
