Journalists gather at Beitbridge border post

Local and international journalists have gathered at the entrance to the Beitbridge border post into Zimbabwe near Musina in Limpopo.

They are setting up their outside broadcast facilities getting ready for the Zimbabwe elections tomorrow. According to reports only a few Zimbabweans are crossing the border into Zimbabwe.

Sokesperson for the South African Catholic Bishops' Conference Father Chris Townsend says he is pleased that the situation is calm. The organisation is ready to offer humanitarian assistance.
