Judgment in the MDC case against the Zimbabwe Electoral Commission has been reserved until tomorrow

March 26, 2008, 19:45

By Antoninette Lazarus
Judgment in the MDC case against the Zimbabwe Electoral Commission has been reserved in the Harare High court until tomorrow.

The MDC (Movement for Democratic Change) made an urgent application, questioning the number of printed ballot papers and police movement inside polling stations. MDC lawyer Alec Muchadehama says they have so far agreed on two of the issues in their application.

Four polling agents per candidate will now be allowed in voting stations and the results will be announced at the command centre first and then pasted outside polling stations. Other demands still to be settled include an electronic copy of the voters roll.
