Zimbabwean Presidential hopeful, Simba Makoni, will not form his own party following Saturday's general election.
Makoni says he wants to form a government of national unity to deal with reconciliation. Makoni is facing tough competition from incumbent President Robert Mugabe and MDC leader Morgan Tsvangirai during the weekend's presidential poll.
Briefing the media in Johannesburg, Makoni's National Campaign Co-coordinator, Nkosana Moyo, described the former finance minister as a candidate for all Zimbabweans.
Meanwhile, the Harare high court is due to deliver judgment later today on the opposition MDC's application for a full audit of the voters' roll and all ballot papers to be used in Saturday’s election.
The opposition is concerned that about three million extra ballot papers printed may be used for rigging the polls. The party also alleges that the roll also contains the names of thousands of dead voters.
