The Zimbabwe Tourism Authority (ZTA) has described the US's travel warning to its citizens as being unfair and untrue.
Givemore Chidzidzi, the chief executive officer of the ZTA, was reacting to a warning issued by the American government to its citizens. The warning said it would be unsafe to travel to Zimbabwe in the run-up to that country's elections later this week.
Chidzidzi says the country earns about US$155 million from foreign visitors annually.
