RSS is an acronym for Rich Site Summary, an XML
format for distributing news headlines on the Web, also known as
Really Simple Syndication.
A news aggregator is a piece of software or a
remotely hosted service that periodically reads a set of news sources,
in one of several XML-based formats (primarily RSS), finds the new bits,
and displays them in reverse-chronological order on a single page.
